The aeon OS – Current Status

I have received participation and support from two of my class-mates:

a) Ritesh (riteshkrishna@yahoo.co.in)

b) Mandar (mandartadhpaledhphale@kaleconsultants.com)

Currently we are working on understanding the Intel based architecture, the boot sequence, writing the boot sector etc. We have not yet finalized the tools that we are going to use for aeon development, but are experimenting with the following tools:

1. Assembler tools: NASM and other GNU tools.

2. Language tools: Currently using C as the basic language; may use C++ and Java (or its modified version) for further development.

We are currently at kinder garden stage, so all suggestions and help are most welcome.
